يتناول هذا البحث، الحديث عن شجرة السنط النيلية، تلک الشجرة التي لها العديد من الفوائد والأهمية، والتي حظيت بالوصف عند ثيوفراستوس وبلينيوس الأکبر والطبيب ديوسکوريدس، وانشرت زراعتها في العديد من المقاطعات المصرية مثل: أرسينوي وأوکسيرنخوس وطيبة والواحة الکبرى، وذلک لاستخداماتها المتعددة، فقد استخدمت في صناعة السفن، والأثاث، وألآت الري، ومعاصر الزيوت، ودباغة الجلود، فضلاً عن استخداماتها في عمل الوصقات الطبية لمعالجة بعض الأمراض، مثل أمراض العيون، وجدير بالذکر أن الوثائق البردية أمدتنا بأسعار منتجات شجرة السنط .
abstract
This paper talks about the Nile acacia tree, which has many benefits and importance, It has been described by Theophrastus, Pliny the Elder, and the physician Dioscorides. And spread its cultivation in many Egyptian provinces, such as: Arsinoe, Oxyhrnchus, Thebes, and the Great Oasis. And that is for its multiple ueses, it has been used in the manufacture of ships, furniture, irrigation machines, oil presses, and tanning leather, in addition to its uses in the installation of medical plasters to treat some diseases, which come in the forefront of eye diseases. It is worth noting that the papyrus documents provided us with prices for acacia tree products
